Why is Good Friday Celebrated?

 

  • Good Friday is a day for Christians to pay their respects to Jesus Christ, some people do not consider Good Friday to be “Good” as Jesus was brutally crucified while there are some people who are thankful to Jesus as he gave up his life in exchange to forgive the sins of other people. They believe Jesus gave everyone a new life to live and to realize how important it is to do good.

 

  • Good Friday is often celebrated by going to church, worshipping and thanking Jesus for his bravery and suffering, a lot of people fast on this day to pay their respect. The most important symbols are Jesus itself and the cross where they were crucified.
